Lineage Master
The Very Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche was born in 1933 in Kham, Tibet and the Ninth incarnation of the Thrangu tulku. When he was four, H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa and Palpung Situ Rinpoche rec-ognized him as the incarnation of Thrangu Tulku by prophesying the names of his parents and the place of his birth. He was ordained by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa who prophesied, “In the future you will bring dharma to the west.” Rinpoche has now given teachings in over twenty-five countries and has seventeen centers in twelve countries. He is especially known for making complex teachings accessible to Western students.
